Presentation of the Letters of Credence to the President of Iraq
His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Durga Prasad Bhandari presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Barham Salih, President of the Republic of Iraq as non-resident Ambassador of Nepal to the Republic of Iraq amidst a ceremony held at Al-Salam Palace on 20 January 2022 in Baghdad.
Following the presentation of the Letters of Credence, Ambassador Bhandari paid a courtesy call on the President of the Republic of Iraq His Excellency Barham Salih. During the call, the Ambassador conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes from the Rt. Hon’ble Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari, President of Nepal and Rt. Hon’ble Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister of Nepal as well as from the people of Nepal for personal health and happiness of the President and for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Iraq.
On the occasion, the Ambassador also expressed that Nepal and Iraq enjoy excellent bilateral relations marked by goodwill, friendship and cooperation.
While congratulating the Ambassador, H.E. the President of Iraq expressed that Iraq would like to increase its engagement with Nepal on matters of global concerns as well as on bilateral matters for further enhancing the relations on political, economic, trade and other areas of mutual interest.
The Embassy of Nepal in Kuwait City is concurrently accredited to the Republic of Iraq.
